Two British Military Discharge Badges from the First and Second World Wars
Description
This lot consists of two British military discharge badges. The first is a First World War Silver War Badge, also known as the Services Rendered Badge. It is a circular sterling silver open-work badge featuring the royal cipher GRI surmounted by a Tudor crown, within a border inscribed FOR KING AND EMPIRE + SERVICES RENDERED. The reverse is stamped with the unique issue serial number B300890 and retains its original horizontal pin and C-clasp fitting. The second item is a Second World War King’s Badge for Loyal Service. This circular white metal lapel badge depicts the royal cipher of King George VI beneath a crown, surrounded by the legend FOR LOYAL SERVICE. The reverse is fitted with two attachment lugs.
