A Set of Hand-Painted Cast Metal Napoleonic British Light Cavalry Miniature Figures
Description
A set of hand-painted, cast-metal miniature figures representing British light cavalry from the Napoleonic Wars. These figures are produced in the traditional style of mid-20th-century toy soldier manufacturers. The riders are depicted in red dolman-style tunics featuring white and yellow braided ornamentation, white breeches, and tall black cylindrical shakos with white plumes. The horses are painted in various shades of grey and white. The collection includes a standard-bearer with a red guidon and several troopers with drawn sabres. All figures are mounted on integral rectangular bases finished in green paint. A small adhesive label with the handwritten notation 6/6 is visible on one base. No manufacturer marks are clearly visible on the undersides of the bases.
