A Set of Painted Metal Military Carrier Pigeon Service Figures and Pigeon Loft Accessory
Description
A set of hand-painted metal military figures and a coordinating accessory building representing a carrier pigeon service. The figures are likely hollow-cast lead or white metal, finished in a matte palette of light blue, khaki, and black, depicting soldiers in uniforms with puttees and peaked caps. The set includes figures in several poses: one kneeling with a pigeon and a wicker-style basket, one standing with a bird prepared for flight, one carrying a large wicker basket, and one carrying a smaller basket and a bucket. The pigeon loft is constructed from wood and wire mesh, featuring white-painted windows and black-and-white facade panels. Several small bird models are attached to the exterior of the loft structure. A small adhesive paper label with handwritten numbers is fixed to the left side of the building.
