Description
European School, mid-20th century. A collection of six wooden novelty items comprising two Alpine-style musical chalets with printed paper lithograph accents, a circular musical box with floral decoupage lid, a wooden jack-in-the-box with a hand-painted composition clown head and fabric costume, a rectangular diorama box with a miniature landscape, and a turned wood pedestal base. Unsigned. Printed accents on wove paper. Housed in original wooden cases. Largest chalet approximately 150 x 120 mm.
Condition report:
General age-related wear including surface scuffs and dust accumulation. Toning and minor fading to the printed paper elements. Mechanical movements are untested.
