Description

A mid-to-late 20th-century Colonial Revival Windsor-style armchair, constructed from solid light-coloured hardwood, likely maple or beech, with a warm honey-toned finish. The chair features a continuous hoop back enclosing vertical spindles and a decorative, pierced central splat with scrolling cutouts. It is designed with broad, shaped armrests and a contoured solid saddle seat, supported by four baluster-turned legs connected by a spindle stretcher. The piece exhibits the machine-turned precision characteristic of high-quality mid-century revivalist furniture, reminiscent of designs by makers such as Ethan Allen or Dinaire. Dimensions: 96cm H x 62cm W x 54cm D.

Condition report:

The chair is structurally sound with the finish showing minor surface wear, light scratches, and some thinning on the seat and armrests consistent with moderate use. No evidence of woodworm, structural instability, or major repair is present.
