Lot 325: Multi-Coronet Red Deer Antler Table Candelabrum
0 views
A multi-light table candelabrum constructed from red deer (Cervus elaphus) antlers. The piece is composed of six individual antler sections, each terminating in a natural coronet or burr that has been hollowed to serve as a candle socket. The central sockets feature smooth, cream-coloured interior finishes. These branches are joined to a central main beam that is secured to a carved wooden base, shaped and textured to mimic a cross-section of a larger antler crown. The antler displays characteristic pearling and a variegated colour palette ranging from pale cream to deep umber. The construction uses internal joinery to assemble the various tines and beam sections into a branched configuration.
A white adhesive label is attached to one of the central antler tines reading SHELBYS AUCTIONEERS LOT 325 01132502626 and a smaller secondary label reading 4358.
