A Japanese Imari porcelain charger decorated in underglaze cobalt blue, iron-red, and green enamels. The central circular field features a flowering peony spray surrounded by double concentric rings in underglaze blue. The broad rim is divided into alternating sections comprising shaped reserves with stylized foliage set against cobalt blue grounds, and wide panels depicting pine, bamboo, and birds. Iron-red stylized ribbon motifs separate the panels. The reverse is painted with four trailing foliate sprays in underglaze blue, terminating at a raised, unglazed foot rim. The recessed base shows two concentric rings in underglaze blue, with no maker or reign marks present.
