Lot 307: Large Emerald Green Hand-Blown Glass Demijohn

A large, hand-blown glass demijohn or carboy, crafted in a vibrant emerald green colour. The vessel features a bulbous, globular body tapering to a short, wide neck with a reinforced, applied ring rim. The glass exhibits characteristic hand-blown traits, including scattered air bubbles (seeds) and subtle surface undulations throughout the body. A faint horizontal line around the mid-section indicates the cooling process or mold transition. The base is not visible to determine the pontil mark. The vessel is finished with a simple, utilitarian rim typical of storage and fermentation vessels from the mid-20th century.
