Lot 148: A Collection of Five White Metal Gemstone Pendants
2 views
An assortment of five gemstone pendants, each set in plain white metal mounts. The group includes a large asymmetrical seraphinite pendant, exhibiting characteristic silvery-green feathery chatoyancy; a marquise-shaped blue lace agate pendant with wavy horizontal banding; a teardrop-shaped brown and green specimen, possibly amber or jasper; an oval-shaped deep red stone, likely garnet or carnelian; and a square-cut iridescent specimen, appearing to be ammolite or mother-of-pearl. Each pendant is fitted with a tapered or plain polished bail for suspension. While the accompanying auction label indicates the metal is silver, no hallmarks or maker’s marks are visible on the front surfaces of the mounts or bails.
