Lot 140: Certina 9 Carat Gold Ladies Manual Wind Wristwatch 4 gram

A vintage ladies’ wristwatch by Certina. The timepiece features a circular gold-tone dial with a sunburst finish, decorated with applied gold-tone baton hour markers and matching baton hands. The upper half of the dial is printed with the brand name ‘CERTINA’. The watch is housed in a polished yellow gold case with a plain, snap-on case back. Accompanying the watch is a white paper auction tag from Shelbys Auctioneers, which is handwritten with ‘9ct’, ‘4.00’, ‘CERTINA’, and a lot number ‘140’. The movement is a manual wind type, operated by a fluted crown at the three o’clock position. The watch is fitted with a black textured leather strap featuring a gold-tone pin buckle; the interior of the strap is embossed with ‘GENUINE LEATHER’.
