Description
An assortment of ceramic tableware comprising novelty cottage ware and transfer-printed vessels. The collection includes an earthenware pitcher molded in the form of a thatched cottage, featuring relief-textured brickwork walls, hand-painted green foliage, and a brown thatched roof, with a handle formed as a rustic branch. Also present is a similar cottage-themed vessel and a selection of teacups, including examples with blue transfer-printed floral motifs on a white ground and a white cup with a gilt rim. The lot is completed by a large oval serving platter featuring a central blue transfer-printed pictorial scene of a town square with figures and buildings, bordered by a gilt rim. No maker’s marks, signatures, or backstamps are visible on the upward-facing surfaces of the items.
