Cherry wood Louis Philippe style bachelor chest of drawers with fold-over top
Description
A contemporary bachelor chest of drawers in the Louis Philippe style, constructed with cherry wood veneers featuring a warm reddish-brown finish. The rectangular top is designed with a central split and hinges, allowing it to fold forward to create a larger flat writing or display surface. Below the frieze, the carcase contains three full-width graduated drawers. Each drawer is fitted with a pair of brass drop-ring handles mounted on decorative, shaped backplates. The chest is built with a moulded plinth base supported by short bracket feet. The interior of the drawers and the secondary carcass wood are not visible. A small white rectangular adhesive label is present on the centre of the top surface, but the text is not legible from the primary view. No maker’s marks, stamps, or signatures are visible on the exterior surfaces of the piece.
