An Assortment of Decorative Objects including Ceramics Glass and Metal Miniatures
Description
A collection of decorative objects and collectibles presented on a red plastic tray. The group includes two white glazed ceramic candlesticks with flared rims, decorated with purple and green floral transfer patterns. There are two cylindrical cream-glazed earthenware storage vessels and two small glass steins featuring hinged metal lids with floral ceramic inserts. A small white ceramic mug shows a transfer-printed landscape scene, accompanied by three ceramic thimbles, one of which is decorated with a colour transfer illustration.
The lot features a variety of animal and human figures, including a large brown-toned composite otter in a reclining pose, a dark textured owl, a seated female figure on a stone-like base, and a small composite seal on a green rocky base. Also present is a small ceramic figurine of a black and white dog.
Metalware includes a dark metal figure of a Roman soldier and a miniature figure of a medieval knight mounted on a wooden plinth base. The base is inscribed in gold lettering THE BLACK PRINCE 1330-1376. A circular white metal dish contains a single sea shell and is inscribed with the Gaelic phrase Uisge beatha around the rim. The collection is completed by a turned wooden object and various small metal charms and figurines, including human figures and a miniature boot. A white adhesive label on the tray edge reads 12916 a and a second white adhesive label reads SHELBYS AUCTIONEERS LOT 127 01132502626.
