A carved mahogany-stained hardwood pedestal jardinière stand, featuring a circular top with a raised, foliate-carved border. The support consists of a central turned and carved baluster-form stem, decorated with multiple sections of deep carving including stylised acanthus leaf and shell motifs. The stem leads down to a wide, circular base with conforming carved decoration. The wood is finished with a deep reddish-brown stain and a high-gloss lustre.
