Seth Thomas Octagonal Short Drop Regulator Wall Clock
Description
An American octagonal wall clock by Seth Thomas, designed in the short drop or schoolhouse regulator style. The circular cream-toned dial displays black Roman numerals and is marked with the maker name SETH THOMAS printed vertically between the centre and the 3 o’clock position, with a small diamond logo positioned above the 6 o’clock numeral. The dial includes two winding apertures for a mechanical time-and-strike movement. The wooden case is finished with a dark stain and consists of an octagonal hood over a pendulum box with a glazed door. The face is protected by a glass cover held in a circular brass bezel.
