An Early 20th Century Mahogany Sheet Music or Record Cabinet
Description
An early 20th Century mahogany sheet music or record cabinet of one-piece construction. The piece features a rectangular top with a shaped back gallery over four hinged doors, each with a fielded panel and turned brass pull knob. The interior is divided into four compartments fitted with vertical wooden dividers of varying widths. This design is highly consistent with phonograph record storage cabinets produced in the 1910s, notably those by the Victor Talking Machine Company, though it is also commonly used for sheet music storage. The cabinet contains an assortment of vintage sheet music and associated paper ephemera. A small white label is located on the interior of the upper left door, although the text is not clearly legible.
