McDonagh Furniture Traditional Style Tall Chest of Drawers
Description
A contemporary tall chest of drawers in a traditional revival style, manufactured by McDonagh Furniture of Belfast. The unit is constructed from wood with figured veneers finished in a warm cherry-toned stain. The configuration comprises two short drawers above four full-width drawers, each featuring raised panel mouldings and fitted with turned brass-toned knob handles. The chest is designed with a shaped gallery backboard and is supported by integrated bracket-style feet. A manufacturer’s paper label is present in the interior of one drawer, identifying the maker as McDonagh, established 1898, and specifies the model as 149 with a stamped production date of 15 June 1998. The label also includes handwritten quality control notations for assembly (A J), de-nibbing (AMK), and finishing (W MCC).
