A George III Style Octagonal Tilt-Top Pedestal Wine Table
Description
A George III style tilt-top wine or side table, constructed from a medium-toned hardwood. The solid octagonal top features a moulded edge and is mounted to a functional tilt-top mechanism. The top is supported by a turned, baluster-shaped central pedestal, which terminates in a tripod base with three out-swept cabriole-style legs. A small, white inventory label is affixed to the edge of the tabletop. The form and construction are indicative of a 20th-century reproduction, bearing a close resemblance to designs produced by Cohasset Colonials.
