An Edwardian oak leaded glazed display cabinet
Description
An early 20th-century oak glazed display cabinet or bookcase of single-unit construction. The cabinet features a flat top with a projecting cornice above two doors, each inset with a leaded glass panel containing sixteen rectangular panes arranged in a four-by-four grid. The interior is fitted with wooden shelving. The piece is finished with a dark stain and polish, and is raised on four short, turned legs. Hardware includes a central oval brass latch with an integrated keyhole escutcheon and simple brass butt hinges. A small blue and white paper label is present on the top left edge, and a circular auction sticker is affixed to the side panel, though neither contains legible text.
