A Large Chinese Style Chinoiserie Porcelain Baluster Table Lamp
Description
A large ceramic table lamp of baluster form, decorated in a Chinoiserie style with hand-painted floral motifs. The design features large pink and purple peonies amongst green foliage and butterflies on a white porcelain ground. The lamp includes a decorative blue geometric border at the shoulder and a matching porcelain cap. It is mounted on a dark-toned circular base. The lamp is fitted with a metal bayonet-style bulb holder and a white electrical cord terminating in a UK three-pin plug. The piece is in the style of 20th-century Chinese-inspired decorative ceramics.
