Description
A mid-20th-century marine landscape executed in oil on canvas. The composition features a dark-sailed fishing vessel and a smaller attendant boat navigating a turbulent sea of dark green and blue. The scene is set against an atmospheric sky with a palette of pink, orange, and yellow, indicative of a coastal sunrise or sunset. The work is painted in an impressionistic style with visible brushwork and impasto highlights on the crests of the waves.
