An Art Deco Style Figurative Table Lamp with Slag Glass Backplate
Description
An Art Deco style table lamp featuring a patinated metal figure of a female dancer in a dynamic, athletic pose. The figure is positioned before a fan-shaped leaded glass backplate consisting of radiating segments of variegated slag glass in shades of pink, white, and pale blue-grey. The assembly is mounted on a circular base with a speckled, marbled-effect stone finish. The lamp is fitted with a modern gold-coloured electrical cord and a bayonet bulb socket. A small white rectangular sticker with the handwritten digits 105 is present on the central glass panel, representing an auction lot number. No maker marks or designer signatures are visible on the base or the figure.
