Lot 53: An Art Deco Style Figurative Table Lamp with Slag Glass Backplate

An Art Deco style table lamp featuring a patinated metal figure of a female dancer in a dynamic, athletic pose. The figure is positioned before a fan-shaped leaded glass backplate consisting of radiating segments of variegated slag glass in shades of pink, white, and pale blue-grey. The assembly is mounted on a circular base with a speckled, marbled-effect stone finish. The lamp is fitted with a modern gold-coloured electrical cord and a bayonet bulb socket. A small white rectangular sticker with the handwritten digits 105 is present on the central glass panel, representing an auction lot number.
