A Collection of Brass and Silver-Plated Metalware including Fireplace Tools and Miniature Display Stands
Description
This collection comprises an assortment of vintage metalware, featuring both functional fireplace accessories and decorative display items. The group includes three brass fireplace tools: a shovel with an embossed foliate and scrolled design to the pan, and two long-handled toasting forks with twisted stems. One toasting fork features a cast handle depicting a royal bust surmounted by a crown, while the second fork is finished with a decorative fleur-de-lis style finial. Also included is a set of three matching three-tier miniature display stands, likely intended for tea cakes or jewellery. Each stand is constructed with three graduated circular plates on a central rod, topped with a bird-form finial handle. The stands appear to be made of a base metal with a heavily worn gilt or silvered finish. The collection is completed by a small silver-plated oval dish and a separate circular silver-plated frame or base.
