This lot comprises two edged weapons. The first is a curved military-style sabre featuring a gilt-brass hilt with a stylized lion-head pommel and a D-shaped knuckle guard. The grip is designed with horizontal ribbing. It is housed in a black velvet-covered scabbard with decorative gold-tone braided trim along the seam and gilt-brass fittings including a throat, a central suspension band with a mounting ring, and a chape. The second weapon is a traditional Nepalese kukri with a dark wood or horn hilt featuring a central ringed grip and white-metal bolster and pommel cap. The leather-covered wooden scabbard has a white-metal chape and retains two small auxiliary tools, the karda and chakmak, in the rear pouches. A small white paper label marked 9731 over 7 is adhered to the front of the kukri scabbard.
