George VI Silver General Service Medal 1918-1962
Description
A silver British General Service Medal (1918-1962). The obverse displays the crowned effigy of King George VI with the legend GEORGIVS VI D: G: BR: OMN: REX ET INDIAE IMP:. The reverse features a standing winged figure of Victory holding a trident and a laurel wreath. The piece is fitted with a swivel scroll suspender and a purple ribbon with a central green stripe. No campaign clasp is present. The edge of the medal appears to be unnamed.
