Description
Brian Needham (20th/21st Century). A vibrant watercolour on paper depicting an impressionistic urban street scene. The composition features tall, narrow architectural forms rendered in warm ochre and brown tones, contrasted against a cool, atmospheric sky. Pedestrian figures and a vehicle are suggested with loose, gestural brushwork in the foreground. Executed with transparent washes, the work demonstrates a confident handling of the medium. Signed Brian Needham and dated 2000 in the lower right corner. Presented in a white mat with a thin blue inner border, housed in a green-painted wooden frame currently protected by plastic wrap. The paper appears to be a heavy-weight wove variety, though it has not been examined out of the frame. Sight size: 28 cm x 38 cm. Frame size: 48 cm x 58 cm.
