Lot 87: Georgian Oak Tilt-Top Tripod Occasional Table
2 views
A George III period oak tilt-top occasional table. The circular solid oak top is of two-board plank construction, supported to the underside by two transverse battens and fitted with an iron and brass tilt-catch mechanism. The top tilts over a turned baluster column pillar raised on a down-swept tripod base with cabriole legs terminating in pad feet. The underside pivot block shows a faint rectangular mark with characters that are faded, worn, and illegible.
