An Edwardian inlaid mahogany tub salon armchair. The shaped solid timber splat back features central marquetry inlay depicting an oval patera with a radiate centre, surrounded by a foliate scroll wreath and bordered with fine stringing and corner scroll motifs. The back connects to outcurved arms with scroll terminals on shaped supports. The circular seat is upholstered in floral needlepoint tapestry, secured with continuous dark domed studs, raised on cabriole legs united by a curved X-form stretcher.
