Lot 55: Carved Hardwood Sideboard with Cellarette and Cabriole Legs

A carved hardwood sideboard with a polished top featuring a shaped low splashback with central scroll cresting. The upper tier comprises three drawers, the outer two featuring pierced fretwork panels flanking the brass swan-neck handles, and the central drawer fitted with a matching pull. Positioned below the central drawer is a fall-front cellarette compartment with a carved oval panel depicting a classical urn motif set against a diaper-pattern ground, fitted with a brass knob. The lower section features two pedestal cupboards, each with panelled doors decorated with applied scroll and foliate carvings, flanked by fluted pilasters. The base is configured with a central kneehole opening and a shaped apron with foliate relief carving, raised on cabriole legs terminating in pad feet. The cupboard doors retain brass drop handles and escutcheons. No maker marks or labels are visible.
