A carved bone figure of a fisherman, depicted standing in a dynamic pose. The figure is shown wearing traditional attire consisting of a loose-fitting robe with flowing sleeves and short trousers with scalloped hems. He is rendered with a bald head, a long pointed beard, and a joyful facial expression. In his right hand, he holds a small circular object at chest level, while his left hand carries a string of two fish. The carving exhibits detailed linear work throughout, particularly in the drapery of the robes and the scales of the fish. The material has an off-white to cream-toned patina. The figure is mounted on a separate dark hardwood stand featuring openwork scrolling foliate and cloud-form decoration.
