Two Royal Doulton Porcelain Figurines Belle and Jennifer
Description
Two Royal Doulton glazed bone china figurines. The first figure, Belle, is depicted in a standing pose wearing a deep red bodice and a voluminous yellow skirt. She has dark hair decorated with a yellow flower and holds a small closed fan in her right hand. The underside of the base features a black printed mark consisting of a lion standing upon a crown above the words Royal Doulton, Figure of the Year 1996, Belle, and HN 3703. It also includes a facsimile signature for Peter A. Gee and the copyright notice 1995 Royal Doulton. The second figure, Jennifer, is shown with blonde hair wearing a pale green dress with a skirt decorated in subtle yellow floral motifs. The base of this figure bears a blue printed mark with a lion and crown emblem inside a circle, the name Jennifer in blue script, and the words Handpainted and Decorated by Hand. There is also a handwritten pink mark reading HN 3447.
