An Antique Embossed Copper and Brass Foliate Powder Flask
Description
An antique copper and brass powder flask of pear-shaped form. The body is constructed from copper and features embossed stylized foliate leaf decoration across both sides. The flask is fitted with a brass nozzle and a matching collar assembly. A small rectangular white paper adhesive label is attached to the neck collar, featuring the handwritten characters 12870. A larger white rectangular auction lot sticker is affixed to the lower portion of the body, reading SHELBYS AUCTIONEERS LOT 315 01132502626. The copper body displays a darkened aged patina with visible traces of green oxidation in the recessed areas of the design. No maker’s name or marks are legible on the nozzle or body.
