A Japanese Pioneer Stereo Component System comprising F-Z94 Tuner, PD-Z84M CD Player, and DC-Z94 Amplifier
Description
A Japanese black-cased Pioneer hi-fi stereo component system, arranged as a vertical stack of integrated units. The assembly includes a Pioneer F-Z94 Digital Synthesizer Tuner with FM/AM functionality and memory presets. Below this is a Pioneer PD-Z84M Multi-Play Compact Disc Player, which features a 1-bit DLC (Dual Linear Converter) and includes a multi-disc magazine. The primary unit is a Pioneer DC-Z94 Stereo Double Cassette Deck Amplifier, incorporating an Advanced Digital & Easy Operation System, Digital SFC (Sound Field Control), and a seven-band graphic equaliser. The twin cassette decks feature auto-reverse functionality.
The rear of the units shows complex interconnection via proprietary multi-pin ribbon cables and standard RCA leads. A black adhesive label on the tuner is printed with TUNER MODEL F-Z94 PIONEER ELECTRONIC CORP. MADE IN JAPAN and serial number LC 0607932 C. The CD player unit bears a yellow CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT warning sticker and a black printed label for MODEL PD-Z84M PIONEER ELECTRONIC CORP. MADE IN JAPAN with serial number LA 8404814 Z. The amplifier unit features a black printed label reading STEREO DOUBLE CASSETTE DECK AMPLIFIER MODEL DC-Z94 PIONEER ELECTRONIC CORP. MADE IN JAPAN with serial number LE 5302816 R. The rear connectivity suite includes dedicated RCA inputs for PHONO and LD/VCR, spring-clip terminals for a pair of front speakers, and various antenna connection points.
