Lot 358: A Trio of M. J. Hummel Ceramic Items

A trio of hand-painted ceramic items comprising two figurines and a circular decorative plate. One figurine depicts a young postman in a blue overcoat and peaked cap, holding a white envelope in his right hand and carrying a brown satchel featuring a yellow post-horn symbol. The second figurine represents a boy in traditional Bavarian attire, including a green jacket, a red neckerchief, and lederhosen, carrying a woven wicker basket on his left arm. The circular plate is decorated with a scene of three children playing with a wooden cart. A printed brown signature reading M. J. Hummel is visible at the lower right of the plate decoration. The figurines are mounted on integral circular bases and finished with a matt glaze.
