Lot 382: A Collection of Vintage Cast Brass Imperial Bell Weights

A collection of cast brass imperial weights of graduated sizes, each featuring a traditional bell-shaped body and an integral loop handle. Several weights bear cast markings indicating their mass, with characters legible as 7 lb, 4 lb, 2 lb, and 1 lb. A printed white adhesive label is attached to the largest weight reading SHELBYS AUCTIONEERS LOT 382 above a telephone number 01132502626. A second weight has a small white rectangular adhesive sticker applied to the handle with the handwritten characters 12851. The weights are formed from a yellow-toned metal alloy and exhibit an aged surface finish consistent with historical use.
