Lot 310: A vintage fixed-blade hunting knife with a dark hardwood handle and a tooled leather stag motif sheath

A vintage fixed-blade hunting knife featuring a polished dark hardwood handle. The grip is accented with thin red and white spacers adjacent to the cast metal cross-guard and the flared metal pommel. The knife is housed in its accompanying brown leather sheath, which features a front panel decorated with a tooled motif of a stag in a forest landscape. The sheath is constructed with stitched edges reinforced by seven metal rivets and includes a wrap-around security strap with a metal snap fastener. A small white rectangular adhesive label is attached to the handle, bearing the handwritten number 12870. A larger white adhesive label from an auction house is adhered to the face of the sheath, reading SHELBYS AUCTIONEERS LOT 310 01132502626. As the blade remains sheathed, no manufacturer’s stamp is visible on the tang or blade surface.
