Description
An original watercolour painting on paper by the British artist Leonard G. Kersley, depicting a traditional Yorkshire Dales landscape at Thwaite in Swaledale. The composition features a cluster of stone-built cottages and barns nestled among mature trees, with characteristic dry-stone walls in the foreground leading the eye into the scene. The work is hand-signed and dated L. G. Kersley 81 in the lower-left corner, with the topographical title Thwaite, Swaledale inscribed directly below. The piece is presented behind glass in a double card mount and housed in a cream-coloured frame with a gilt inner border.
