0 viewsSold for: £10
A matching pair of large-scale decorative figurines, dating to the mid-20th century. Each figure depicts a young woman in a sleeveless, draped light-blue classical-style gown. The figures are modelled in a forward-leaning pose with hands held behind their backs, standing upon integral bases textured to resemble rocky ground. The figurines are constructed from cold-painted plaster, a material commonly referred to as chalkware. The figures feature wavy brown hair and simplistic facial features. No maker’s marks, factory backstamps, or signatures are visible on the exterior surfaces. A small white adhesive label bearing the handwritten number 501 is present on the reverse of one figure.
