Lot 285: A Collection of World Coins including EG 1951 25 Piastres and UK Commemorative Issues

The collection includes an EG 1951 silver 25 Piastres royal wedding commemorative coin featuring King Farouk I and a chariot motif. Also present is a 1951 UK commemorative crown depicting St George and the Dragon, housed in a protective plastic flip. The lot contains several UK pre-decimal bronze pennies featuring Britannia and halfpennies featuring the Golden Hind, alongside a 1951 Spanish 25 Pesetas. Multiple Middle Eastern issues are included, featuring dhow motifs and Arabic script. The collection further comprises a variety of European decimal and pre-decimal pieces in copper-nickel, bronze, and brass alloys. A gold-coloured thistle medallion or token is also present toward the top centre of the tray.
