Two Items Comprising an Ornate Silver-Plated Desk Stand and a Wooden Crumb Tray with Brush
Description
This lot features two distinct domestic items from the late 19th or early 20th century. The first item is an ornate desk stand or inkstand, constructed from silver-plated white metal. The stand is decorated in the Victorian style with embossed foliate and scrollwork motifs. It comprises a central pen rest area, two rectangular compartments with hinged lids for stamps or nibs, and a single inkwell with a hinged, domed lid. A small white inventory label marked 105 is present on one of the rectangular lids. The second item is a wooden crumb tray and brush set, used for clearing dining tables. The tray is of triangular form with raised edges and a dark-stained wood grain, featuring a metal loop handle at the rear. It is accompanied by a matching curved wooden-handled brush with natural bristles.
