Vintage Eight-String Bowl-Back Neapolitan Style Mandolin with Hardshell Case
Description
An eight-string bowl-back mandolin, also known as a Neapolitan style instrument. The soundboard is constructed from a light-coloured softwood, likely spruce, and features an oval soundhole alongside an inset faux-tortoise shell patterned pickguard. The fingerboard and floating bridge are composed of a dark-toned hardwood. The body is formed from a series of wooden staves to create the characteristic rounded bowl back. It features a slotted headstock with side-mounted tuning machines fitted with white buttons. A metal tailpiece cover is situated at the base of the instrument. The mandolin is housed within a fitted black hardshell case featuring a red plush interior lining.
