An Assortment of British Ceramics including Art Pottery and Transfer-Printed Wares
Description
An assortment of ceramic items featuring various styles and periods. Included is a turquoise-glazed art pottery jug with a lobed body, pedestal foot, and a rope-twist handle, designed in the style of Wade Heath with a contrasting orange interior glaze. The lot also contains a large white twin-handled loving cup with ornate scrolled handles, containing an associated printed paper advertisement for Peter Brown’s Traditional Food. A globular teapot is present, finished in a dark brown Rockingham-style manganese glaze with a moulded decorative band and matching lid. The collection further includes an earthenware bowl with black transfer-printed architectural decoration and a small cylindrical vessel with vertical ribbing in a buff-coloured unglazed finish.
