Lot 277: Merrythought International Collectors Club Teddy Bear in Original Box

A collectible jointed teddy bear produced by Merrythought for the International Collectors Club. The bear is crafted from a light tan or cream-coloured plush material, likely mohair, and features a traditional jointed head and limbs. It is detailed with dark bead-style eyes and a hand-stitched brown nose and mouth. The bear is dressed in a removable decorative waistcoat made from a dark brown and bronze-toned geometric patterned fabric, finished with two gold-coloured buttons. A white manufacturer’s tag is attached to the left ear. The item is accompanied by its original blue cardboard presentation box, which is printed in gold with the Merrythought International Collectors Club crest and the text Handmade in England.
