A South Korean President 31-Day Drop-Dial Wall Clock
Description
This mechanical wall clock was manufactured in South Korea under the President brand, designed in the Victorian drop-dial style. The case is constructed with a dark-stained wooden surround and a flat back board. The circular dial features black Roman numerals, an outer minute track, and is marked President and 31 Days, with a Korea origin mark at the right dial edge. Time is indicated by black spade-style hour and minute hands and a central sweep seconds hand. The movement is a 31-day spring-driven mechanism with two winding apertures for time and strike functions. The lower drop section contains a glazed aperture with a gold-coloured border, a decorative element often found on Victorian oil on board picture frames, revealing a brass-finish circular pendulum bob.
