Description
An assortment of antique and vintage items comprising a large rectangular mahogany-toned wooden box, possibly a writing slope or a storage case for a scientific instrument. The collection contains several cases including a heavily worn tan leather case, resembling a container for field glasses or a handheld optical device, and a black textured apparatus case. Also included are a small red cloth-bound book, a small case with a red velvet-lined interior, and various cardboard storage boxes. Fragmentary printed text reading FIELD is visible on one of the lower cardboard boxes. The items are constructed from wood, leather, paper, and velvet, likely dating from the late 19th to mid-20th century.
