Two 20th Century Table Lamps comprising a Modernist Silvered Metal Lamp and a Carved Alabaster Lamp
Description
This lot comprises two table lamps of differing styles. The first is a modernist table lamp constructed from silver-plated or chrome-plated metal, featuring an open, rectangular geometric frame set upon a stepped rectangular base. It is fitted with a black power cord and a standard UK B22 bayonet cap bulb holder with a plastic shade ring. The second lamp is crafted from carved white alabaster in an urn form with fluted detailing, mounted on a square plinth base. The base is decorated with a gilt-metal floral boss and is raised on four ornate foliate-moulded bracket feet. This lamp is fitted with a brown power cord featuring an inline switch and a brass B22 bayonet cap bulb holder. Neither lamp includes a shade. As with all electrical items sold at auction, these lamps are sold for their decorative value only and must be inspected and PAT tested by a qualified electrician before being connected to a mains supply.
