A Rococo Revival Style Cast Metal Mantel Clock
Description
An ornate mantel clock featuring a cast metal case with a polished brass-toned finish, designed in the Rococo Revival style. The case is decorated with elaborate openwork scroll motifs, pierced foliate elements, and stylized architectural supports, surmounted by a bird-form finial. The circular white dial displays an inner track of black Roman numerals for the hours and an outer track of Arabic numerals at five-minute intervals for the minutes. The centre of the dial features a decorative geometric and foliate motif in shades of deep red and gold. To the reverse, the mechanical movement is housed within a circular brass casing and is accompanied by a winding key.
