Trio Model JR-310 Amateur Communications Receiver
Description
A Trio model JR-310 communications receiver, designed for amateur radio use. This vintage piece of electronic equipment is housed in a grey metal cabinet with a perforated top panel intended for heat dissipation. The front interface is equipped with a large circular main tuning dial and two analogue needle-style meters, including a dedicated S-meter. The control layout includes various knobs for AF Gain and RF Gain, RIT (Receiver Incremental Tuning), Band selection, Selectivity, Function, and IF and RF Tune. A 1/4 inch headphone socket is located at the bottom right of the front panel. The manufacturer and model designation are clearly printed on the left side of the fascia as Trio Communications Receiver Model JR-310. This model is a valve-based HF receiver that was manufactured between the late 1960s and early 1970s.
