British Short Land Pattern Brown Bess Flintlock Replica Musket .75 Calibre
Description
A single muzzle-loading flintlock musket, this item is a reproduction of the iconic British Short Land Pattern Brown Bess and is equipped with an attached socket bayonet. The firearm features a full-length wooden stock with brass furniture, including the trigger guard, side plate, butt plate, and ramrod pipes. The barrel, lock mechanism, and bayonet exhibit a greyish patina with signs of oxidation and minor surface pitting. Key markings include the characters TOWER behind the cock and a crown symbol over the characters GR in front of the cock, replicating standard 18th-century British military patterns for Georgius Rex. A steel ramrod is present in its channel beneath the barrel. This item is identified as a replica musket, commonly used for historical reenactment or decorative display. No specific modern manufacturer markings are evident on the exterior surfaces, maintaining a period-correct appearance.
