Two Pieces of Contemporary Provincial Style Pine Furniture
Description
A lot comprising a small chest of drawers and a pedestal stand, both constructed from solid pine with a light honey-coloured finish. The chest features three drawers, each fitted with a single turned wooden knob pull and rounded top edges. The unit is raised on four small bun feet. The accompanying pedestal stand features an octagonal top and a matching octagonal base, connected by a decorative reel-and-bobbin turned central column. Both items exhibit contemporary construction techniques and a style characteristic of provincial-style pine furniture. A small white adhesive label is present on the central column of the stand, but no legible maker’s marks or stamps are discernible.
